■ Basic research on stroke rehabilitation using animal models of stroke

It is essential to understand the pathophysiology of stroke and to formulate a basic medical basis for understanding the effects of rehabilitation methods on the body and what kind of biological reactions they cause.

Against this background, we are examining the effects and mechanisms of stroke rehabilitation (mainly, exercise therapy and neuromodulation) using animal models of stroke.

■ Clinical research on patients with central nervous system diseases (stroke, neurological intractable diseases, etc.)

We participate in clinical research with clinical doctors and physical therapists as a co-researcher.

We believe that compiling, analyzing, and disseminating valuable information obtained from patients will contribute to the development of rehabilitation in this field.
